What sound does a glacier make? To the uninitiated this may seem like a ridiculous question because one imagines they are simply silent expanses of ice. But that’s not the case. They make all kinds of sounds covering a huge dynamic range, from cracking and popping to booming and tinkling and a multitude of sounds in between.
