Description
The Windkiller is a premium fur windshield for shotgun microphones, providing professional-grade wind protection for boom operators and field recordists. The multi-pile faux fur uses varying lengths to gradually slow down wind particles before they reach your mic—the same proven technology as our Windbubbles, scaled up for shotgun capsules.
Available in both long-fur and short-fur versions. Long fur provides maximum wind protection for heavy outdoor conditions, while short fur offers a lighter option for moderate winds with slightly better high-frequency transparency.

How do I know which size fits my microphone?
Windkiller sizes are matched to your microphone's length and diameter. Find your mic in the Check Compatibility list or our size guide. If your mic isn't listed, contact us and we'll help you find the right fit.
Should I choose long-haired or short-haired?
Long-haired fur gives maximum wind protection for heavy outdoor conditions. Short-haired fur is a lighter option for moderate wind, with slightly better high-frequency transparency.
How does it attach to my microphone?
The specially designed rubber base grips your microphone securely and makes it easy to slide the Windkiller on and off between setups.
How is the Windkiller built?
It has two layers: an airy inner mesh that holds still air around the microphone capsule, and multi-pile fur glued directly to the mesh.
What is the difference between the Windkiller and the Spacer Bubble?
The Windkiller is a one-piece windshield that you simply slide on. The Spacer Bubble is a modular system: a mesh base you can use on its own indoors, plus a removable long-haired fur cover. For maximum outdoor wind protection we recommend the Spacer Bubble with its long-haired cover.
What if it gets wet?
Simply dry it and shake the fur back into shape.
