Description
The Foam Wind Cover Kit pairs a shotgun microphone foam windscreen with a removable black fur cover. Use the foam on its own in calm conditions, then slip the fur cover over it when the wind picks up.
The kit comes in eight sizes: six for standard 18-22 mm diameter shotgun microphones (XS to XL) and two Big Diameter versions for 24-25 mm microphones (XS and XL). Each kit contains The Microphone Foam for Shotgun Mics and The Foam Wind Cover in the matching size.
It sits between foam-only protection and the one-piece Windkiller: one pack, two layers, and the fur only when you need it.

Which size do I need?
Six sizes (XS to XL) fit standard 18-22 mm diameter shotgun microphones. For 24-25 mm microphones, choose XS (Big Diameter) or XL (Big Diameter). Use the size guide to match your microphone.
Can I use the foam without the fur?
Yes. Run the foam on its own in calm conditions and slip the fur cover over it when the wind picks up.
I already have your shotgun foam. Do I need the kit?
No. The Foam Wind Cover is available on its own in six sizes and fits the foam you already have.
How is it different from the Windkiller?
The Windkiller is a one-piece fur windshield. The kit gives you two separate layers, so the fur goes on only when you need it.
